The journey from science to health: Clasado puts prebiotic research in the spotlight at IPC and ISAPP

Clasado Biosciences (‘Clasado’), developer of the multi award-winning prebiotic ingredient Bimuno® GOS, aims to advance wider understanding of prebiotics with new poster presentations, outlining research behind its prebiotic ingredient, at two prestigious scientific events.

As part of its mission to make gut microbiome health science more accessible, the business will present a summary of three human intervention trials that showcase the benefits of Bimuno GOS, highlighting the advantages of prebiotics within the wider health category.

First, Clasado Biosciences will be participating in the 16th International Scientific Conference on Probiotics, Prebiotics, Gut Microbiota, and Health (IPC 2023), taking place in Bratislava, Slovakia, from the 20th to 22nd of June 2023. The conference seeks to enhance collective knowledge and strengthen the biotics category by exploring the latest understanding and research related to the gut microbiome. Dr. Ged Baltulionis, Senior Scientist and IP Manager, and Dr. Georgina Dodd, Senior Scientist and R&D Project Manager, will be presenting the poster and are available for further discussions with delegates.

Additionally, Clasado Biosciences will be participating in the 2023 Annual Meeting of the International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics (ISAPP), which takes place in Colorado, USA, from the 26th to 28th of June 2023. ISAPP is an esteemed international non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting scientific research and education on prebiotics, probiotics, and the rapidly expanding synbiotic category. Dr. Ged Baltulionis will be attending the ISAPP Annual Meeting to present the poster and engage in discussions about advancements in prebiotic science.

At both the IPC and the ISAPP Annual Meeting, Clasado Biosciences will be illustrating scientific substantiation around the positive effects of Bimuno GOS on gastrointestinal, immune and cognitive health. Offering an insight into the company’s extensive research, including both in vivo and in vitro studies, helping to further demonstrate the importance of prebiotics in promoting health and wellbeing.

Dr. Baltulionis emphasises the significance of these conferences, stating, “At Clasado, we firmly believe in the power of collective knowledge, particularly regarding the use of prebiotics to improve health and wellbeing. Our Bimuno GOS prebiotic, backed by extensive primary research and over 110 published scientific papers, has a significant role to play in supporting future health strategies. As two distinct events centred around the latest scientific understanding of gut microbiome modulation, we are thrilled to share these insights with the scientific community at IPC 2023 and the 2023 ISAPP Annual Meeting.”

Clasado Biosciences invites delegates attending IPC 2023 and the ISAPP Annual Meeting to connect with their team to learn more about the advancing role of prebiotics in health and wellbeing. From consumers to researchers, healthcare professionals and academics, the company is dedicated to deepening the awareness of gut microbiome modulation and driving the collective understanding of gut health.
