Cornelius Group Marketing Partnership

As PHD’s oldest client, we have recently delivered a second full marketing rebrand for Cornelius, one of the leading European manufacturers and distributors of specialty chemicals, additives and ingredients for the Life Sciences and Performance Chemicals sectors.

The Brief

We were asked to refresh the company’s branding across the board and deliver a new fully responsive website to replace the existing site, which was now out of date due to restructuring and to support its ‘One Cornelius’ strategy. By upgrading the data-saturated experience, which had become hard to navigate, we set out to make Cornelius relevant in today’s digital marketing landscape, increase web traffic and drive sales.

Our activity

Our rebrand was centred around a fresh new take on the existing Cornelius C ‘eye’ logo. Curved elements from the logo were echoed throughout to give a feeling of dynamism and playfulness that reflects the company’s status as an industry innovator. In conjunction with our graphic work on the rebrand, Video by PHD undertook a project to refresh the Cornelius Group video suite to incorporate informative short videos for customers.

A new set of company values was developed in conjunction with the leadership to ensure the rebrand resonated throughout the organisation and comprehensive social media was delivered to ensure the company restructure was understood.

Results

The website rebuild, which was central to the rebrand project, was undertaken in a matter of months and the brand-new, responsive site was successfully deployed in April 2020. A notable feature of the website was a Polish language section for Cornelius’ international customer base. This was achieved by working with a translation partner and the internal Cornelius Poland team to achieve optimum accuracy.

The new brand was rolled out across all Cornelius marketing materials, from social media graphics to corporate PowerPoint templates. We’re currently working on a series of exciting new partner and product launches for Cornelius Group, which again include tailored translated marketing communications for international employees and customers.
