PHD Marketing Presents The Power Of Personalisation

PHD Marketing Presents The Power Of Personalisation

PHD Marketing Ltd Managing Director and pack professional, Joanna Stephenson, will present ‘Personalisation – A Packaging Perspective’ as part of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) Regional Development Group North.

The speech, commencing at midday on March 21, 2019, and hosted by Alderley Science Park, Macclesfield, will see Joanna justify the significant rise of personalised packaging applications throughout the cosmetics sector, while assessing their relevance to a brand’s future position.

Joanna commented: “With the UK’s beauty industry currently valued at £17 billion and the worldwide cosmetics sector estimated to total $675 billion by 2020, personalisation presents brands with a golden opportunity to persuade their target market to buy into their brand. A personalised pack provide users with a sense of ownership and increases the likelihood of repeat custom.

“The success of personalised packs has fuelled a rise in products bespoke to the consumer. For instance, Boots’ in-store foundation device and Clinique’s iD system, both of which supply customers with shades bespoke to their skin tone. While developments like these are promising, it’s important to recognise the challenges that this demand imposes on the production process, now that one size does no longer fit all.”

Other speakers include Floriana Vincis of Walgreens Boots Alliance, and Katerina Steventon of Independent Skincare Consultancy Ltd. and FaceWorkshops, who will address personalisation in regard to pack claims and the clinical environment.
